Anarchy online which class

MBs can easily farm much of the late to endgame content and sell Lootrights. Thanks for your suggestion thread again.

Here is my 50 cents to it. I got a feeling we both took a break for similar amount of time. I literaly left my freshly geared endgame pvp toons in to figure out they are totally useless few years after. To me it is not a big of a deal to adjust to fresh game mechanics or to gear up new items. What was the main thing I could not cope much with was the fact of, as I started updating my engame toons, I was seeing the loss of flexibility. Awakened armor CH pretty much killed many battle scenarios in tl7 pvp so I just moved on to tl5 and lower.

While I like the game mechanics changes to follow and assist, it took a time for me a while to see it as an improvement but eventually this is where I gained back my flexibility and improved my own pvp overview and focus abilities. Its better fun, not to click assist macro and actually work your way up as a individual, team and eventually a raidforce.

A 3vs3 and 6vs6 pvp game area, or BS is a big yes - something where we actually do minor pvp, not a daily mission place with no fun or a borealis backyard run thrus. Assisting was removed to prevent MB in PvP. MBs work in teams, so reintroducing it for teams would defeat the purpose of removing it at all.

They have a game that still have hundreds of subscriptions, and only have to pay a bit of upkeep for servers and some very low-level maintenance. Enjoy AO for what it is and stop fretting about what it could have been. This game is oooooooold. It was one expansion and it never really worked that well. Bring back the option to change to Legacy Titles and change the name Legacy obviously , or add a new title system using the same mechanics with different Names for each title.

That way a player would still have the ability to choose between the titles they want to have on top of their character name, yet they will be easily distinguishable between the old Legacy titles and the new titles that you could implement.

There are simply not enough people left in this game for a person to do this, no matter how hard this person tries. Respectively, you can keep the amount given per kill, but reduce the numbers required for each rank? It does not represent in any way your actual PVP skills or knowledge, unlike the Legacy Titles, which makes the Legacy Titles much more preferable. Change the towerfields timers. Xirayne: I couldn't care less about who is clueless or what the exact definition "real" pvp is in ao, I want "fun" pvp!

Jul 22nd, , 4. Thank you both for the replies- Im going to try all these classes out on Arete and see which one I like! Jul 22nd, , 5. I would not recomend it as your 1st character unless you have a lot of credits or few good friends in AO.

Advy was my first character and main for many years. It meets all your requirement and is easy to level and good soloer. The only weak point is that when you reach level the best choice for adv is to become pvper.

Martial Artist is very similar to adv, also meets your requirements and have the same problem at level One more advantage of MA is that up to level he can use only bare hands as weapons and his dammage goes up with every level without need of buying new weapons.

Trader is also a good choice however bit more difficult to gear up and level as he needs to frequently update his nanos and gear. What is also worth of planing is your next which you can start to level at the same time and for this I would suggest one of key professions for end game instances: Doc, Enf, Sold or Crat.

You would have to spend some time leveling them to around level 50 and then you can take an easy and time efficient way of leveling which is only to do all daily missions every day that you play. Daily missions are quite fast to complete and give huge amount of XP as reward. On average it takes minutes a day to complete every daily mission and about month to hit unless you log times a week. Jul 22nd, , 6. Roll a Crat! One profession to RoO them all, one profession to proc stun them, one profession to calm them all and in the darkness Exp perk them!

Jul 22nd, , 7. For a prof you want to take to I highly suggest engineer, as stated their pvm abilities since I have been able to solo all of alb including the pocket bosses without issue as well. Jul 22nd, , 8. Infact there are now many good professions, and none are really bad. But some are very expensive to make good. Jul 22nd, , 9. Can I ask a little more detail on your Doctor?

You may have the correct class and I hate for a era Doc to be left abandoned without due consideration. Also certainly org and your desired activity make a giant impact on what your time in game will feel like.

In an active org a Doctor is going to find work. An org-less or small org Doc will have more trouble of coarse. Jul 22nd, , Originally Posted by Nycrow. Is his Doc , in an org, well equipped? If AI levels and research are low it can influence greatly your solo ability and he may or may not be feeling that. He states a couple of times his proclivity for healing. I guess I always liked knowing the whole story before sending someone down a path.

When reading through the information given in character creation, keep in mind that Funcom may have made changes since they wrote the descriptions there, so you may wish to do a little background research on the forums and wiki before you commit to a profession.

Often the best way to make a decision about which profession you wish to play however is to try out the characters in the startup areas.

This will give you a general idea of the character, without the complexity of nanos, implants and money that come later in the game. If you do not have the Shadowlands expansion the options for Keeper and Shade will be greyed out and unusable since they require this expansion, you also will not be able to start in the Shadowlands startup area. Main article: User interface. Well now we are on the beach, ready to kick ass and chew bubble gum but We should probably give some note to the snazzy HUD we have going and explain how some of it works.

The user interface in Anarchy Online is very customizable, not only in the form of new interface 'skins' but also simply by the sheer virtue that many of the interface elements can be turned off or moved around with a couple mouse clicks so that everything works how you want it to. We are going to review some of the basic elements of the default interface though, and how to use it to navigate the world.

The chat box is your main link into all the chat channels of the game, system messages, damage read outs, and news feeds. The default window starts with two tabs, one for chat, system messages, and news feeds this tab will automatically add new chat channels and a second tab for combat messages. By default the channel you speak to is the vicinity channel which is available to all others in the current area , but you can change that by either clicking on the name of the channel you want to talk to in the window, or when the cursor is in the text bar, pressing 'tab' to bring up a list of channels you can talk to.

You may also open a private message box to a play by clicking their name in the chat box. OOC chat is locked to the side clan, neutral or omni that the channel is named and is useful for asking questions to other players, the newbie OOC is available only in the starter areas and is ideal for this purpose.

Trade chat is reserved for Sell and Buy offers, requests or offers for services, such as dungeon runs and buffs and requests or offers for trade skills. Some useful shortcuts include:. The right command area is divided up into several parts. The first part is the menu buttons that activate menus and functions. From the top down: NCU shows what buffs and debuffs you have running , Maps gives options for the world map and the Mini-Map , Missions, Faction if you have the Shadowlands expansion , Team list and Friends list which shows your chat friends and people who have recently sent you private messages, as well as those people you have elected to ignore.

Full Aggressive mode makes you faster, at the expense of your defense, while full defense enhances your evasion skills slightly while slowing down your attacks.

Next to the menu buttons is the Right Target Control which allows you to change which target you are actively attacking, this can also be selected with the mouse, and toggled with the q button. You can cycle through the targets you can attack by pressing the arrows to the right or left of the target control, or by pressing Tab. Many players find it useful to remove the target control element since its often times easiest to simply use Tab and Q to find targets and start combat or to use the mouse.

This can be done through the menu, F The bar under the the menus shows your Total NCU , NCU is a piece of equipment used to hold buffs with a number reflecting how much is used, and your total amount of credits which is the game currency you can hold up to 1 billion credits on one character.

The left target control shows who you are targeting for nano programs and abilities which do not effect the combat target.

Like the Right, you can scroll through the targets with Tab or the arrows, or click with the mouse. The Scroll Bar is on the right side of the screen and it is where the vast majority of the menus open to, excluding free floating ones. The scroll bar menus are stacked one, on top of another, and can be scrolled through using the mouse wheel. Alternately they can be closed or minimized to save space. You can make menus free floating by right clicking on their name and then left clicking where you wish to place them, they are replaced in the scroll bar by right clicking the name again and dropping where desired in the bar.

The quick bar allows you to store action, item, nano program, and special ability short cuts to use quickly from the number line. Each position on the bar is number from 1 left to 0 right. When you press a number, you will attempt to execute the action placed in that slot. The quick bar has 10 screens, each with ten slots, and these can be scrolled with the mouse wheel.

Only the current screen will work with the keyboard shortcuts however By default there is a start combat action, a sit action, a run toggle action, a follow macro, and a logout action.
